Seven Dials Switches on Christmas with 16-piece live Orchestra
Thursday 15th November, Seven Dials officially switched on Christmas with their unique light installation and live music from the impressive 16-piece EP Orchestra. The open event, managed by Sister London, created an immersive festive experience with free wreath making, a pavement side Seven Dials curling rink, alfresco Christmas cocktail bar, and a host of exclusive brand experiences and discounts.
The Seven Dials Christmas installation features bespoke lights and decorations, including the ‘Merry Christmas from Seven Dials’ signage, which has been made from over 200 recycled milk bottles. Along with this, the seven interconnecting streets have been adorned with 300 white snowflakes that can be enjoyed until January 2019.
Sister organised a tailored musical arrangement for the switch on moment at 6.30pm, which saw guests sing to contemporary renditions of Christmas classics and chart hits by EP Orchestra.
Sister London and Seven Dials created a magical evening, in the traffic free streets, for shoppers to celebrate the Seven Dials Christmas lights switch on, where more than 80 brands, restaurants and bars took part in our unique London village celebration to host a Christmas community event full of festive cheer.
Neal Street was home to London’s only pavement-side pop-up curling rink, which proved to be everyone’s new favourite winter sport. Our event also saw shoppers take part in free wreath making on Earlham Street while capturing their evening's festivities at the free taxi photo booth on Monmouth Street.
In aid of charity partner Covent Garden Dragon Hall Trust, we created a ticketed Christmas themed tombola where guests had the chance to win fantastic prizes from a host of Seven Dials brands including Knomo, Superga, Miller Harris, Dinny Hall and Caudalie.
